Art by Astrid Tobrand.
We have a saying: “In circus, nothing is impossible.”
Not only is circus about making the unimaginable a reality, but doing so with and for our communities.
Simply by performing and sharing this art, it becomes an extraordinary force of joy and hope, and inspires others to pursue their own greatness.
Currently, Grim Theatre has no tangible location. Its mission exists in our minds, on stages, and in between the unfurling pages of stories like The Black Carnival.
We’ve put on dozens of performances and have ongoing work in other productions, but we don’t have a studio or a traveling tent to call our own.
But we are steadily moving towards that goal.
Through projects like The Black Carnival, our online content, and our own entrepreneurial efforts, we hope to one day bring Grim Theatre from the realm of dreams into that of the living.
And like everything in life and circus, many hands make light of heavy work.
If you’d like to become a patron, you’ll unlock exclusive videos, writings, monthly postcards, and more.
If less than 1% of the people who enjoy our work across all platforms pledged a subscription of just $5, we could invest in a tent or studio for Grim Theatre, and thereby create more shows and opportunities for other artists.
